Just got back from Patrick’s and Veronica’s where we had some yummy Chinese food.  Then sat around visiting and listening to jazz music for a couple of hours.  A nice relaxing way to end the day.

Finally got my hanging planters hung up outside the family room.  They look absolutely fabulous.  Each planter has a burgundy wave petunia and a pink/coral million bells mini-petunia.  They are growing like crazy and the color looks fabulous against the back windows.

I spent a good part of the afternoon cleaning patio furniture.  Found out that if I scrub down everything and then oil it with lemon oil furniture polish, it looks like new!  I’ve had this patio set for 2-3 years and it kept getting more and more faded as time passed.  I couldn’t believe how fabulous it looked after being oiled.  So I guess I’ll spend a good portion of tomorrow finishing the job.  Also have to clean the glider swing and oil it.  And then the backyard will be finished–just in time for the nice weather and swimming in the pool.

Last night I got a burst of energy after getting home from work.  I made new silk flower arrangements for the front porch and redid the wreath on the front door in red, white and blue.  I’ll redo everything the weekend after 4th of July with summer florals.  Still wasn’t tired, so I started in on my bathroom.  I threw away old pills, makeup containers, etc.  Washed down the shelving and the window.  Still have more to do in there tonight, but wanted to work outside during the day while the weather was nice.

Kinda nice not having anything but reruns on tv these days.  I’m getting a lot more done around the house and enjoy spending the evenings outside now that it stays light for so long.  Well, off to the bathroom to do more tossing and cleaning!
