I don’t think I’ve ever worked as hard as I have this week.  I shut my door at work and just worked solid every single day.  I didn’t talk with anyone.  I just worked.  I got tons accomplished, but still have tons more to do.  I brought work home a couple of nights, but decided not to do office work this weekend since I know next week is going to be as rough as this past week.  I need a break of at least a few days.

I will be packing up all the materials from my private client and turning over everything to the new bookkeeper at a meeting Monday night.  She’s going to need training and I’m hopeful she catches on quickly.  I just can’t handle spending countless hours working with someone who doesn’t get it the first time around…even though I’m getting paid to train her.  I just want my time back!

It’s supposed to be nice and warm this weekend.  I’m thinking of going to the local farmer’s market in the morning since i haven’t been there in a really long time.  Am going to stop on my way home at the local nursery where they have a sale on tomato plants.  I’m going to try to put in a few tomatoes and see what happens.  The last time I planted tomatoes I had to tear them out when I got new windows put in and they were in the way.  So we’ll try again.  And I still have a few more plants that didn’t get put in the ground last weekend, so I’ll finish that up as well.

And then there’s the Kentucky Derby tomorrow.  And then most of my interest in sports wanes until next fall.  Oh, I may watch part of the Indy 500, but the Lakers lost in the first round of the NBA playoffs so basketball is pretty much over for me.  I’m kinda glad not to be locked into basketball through mid-June.  The Lakers just weren’t that good this year and, except for Kobe, most of the rest of them didn’t deserve to be in the playoffs.

But there’s still Heroes, American Idol and a few other tv shows that I will see through until the end of the season later this month.  I’ll be happy if there are no shows that I get hooked on for the summer.  I currently have way too many shows that I’ve TiVo’d and haven’t gotten around to watching.  Truthfully, I’m sick of feeling that I have to watch constantly.  Oh, I know I don’t really have to watch, but I just can’t handle not watching some of the shows and so wind up watching all night.  It’s ridiculous since within a few days we totally forget what most of the shows were even about.

Stopped at Trader Joe’s on the way home tonight and stocked up on lots of frozen goodies and salads…and strawberries!  T.J.’s has some of the best strawberries I’ve ever tasted.  I may have to go back and get more if I decide to get ambitious and make some homemade strawberry shortcake.

But now I’m going to bed with the plan to sleep in tomorrow!  I’m look forward to not having to get up early.
