Got lots accomplished at home this past weekend.  The weather was wonderful, so I couldn’t resist spending some time outdoors.  Got a good chunk of trimming done of bushes in the backyard.  Filled the entire large yard waste can, so had to stop at that point.  Next weekend is supposed to be nice as well, so I’ll probaby fill the can once again with the hope that means all the bushes are trimmed.  Would have liked to have done some planting, but need to get the trimming done first.

Finished up 3 tax returns, two of which resulted in large refunds.  Needless to say, those folks were unbelievably happy today when I gave them all the paperwork!    Three more returns to go–mine, Kevin’s and Patrick’s!  May possibly have a few other small ones, but at least I don’t have any complicated ones like previous years.

Stopped by Best Buy on my way home from work on Friday and purchased a new monitor.  It’s a 19″ wide flat screen and I was able to set it up myself with only a bit of phone assistance from Patrick regarding the resolution.  Still getting used to it, but so far I like the fact that I can fit so much on the screen…and it takes up so much less space than my old huge monitor.  An electronic recycling event will be held at the Rose Bowl at the end of April, so I’ll likely take the old monitor (plus a few items from Patrick) so that it doesn’t wind up sitting in the garage collecting dust.

Finally, today is Kevin’s 32nd birthday!  When I was 32, Kevin was 4 years old and a delightful little boy.  My how things change!  (Just kidding, Kevin…well, sort of.)  Only a little over 6 months and Kevin will be starting out with his own family memories.  How quickly time goes by.
