…and the window construction will be finished! I will have mountains of painting, cleaning and reorganizing to do, but at least I’ll be able to start doing it and know that I won’t have to do it all over again the following week.

Got some great plants to put out front under the new bay window, but don’t want to put anything in the ground until George (the contractor) mounts the korbels under the window. Then I’ll have to paint them (white or green?) as well as the underside of the window. Then I’ll clean all the construction crap from the flowerbed and do the planting. I got some great daisies that are yellow with a purple center. Were these designed specifically for my Lakers color scheme?

Lots of the backyard plants have also bit the dust, so replanting will begin again out there. This time I’m going to try to find some perennials that won’t have to be replaced every six months. Also am searching for drought resistant plants with the hope of lowering my water bill.

I think my plan will be to clean up everything in the house from top to bottom, then do the garage (yes, it’s still a mess) and then start in on all the projects–painting, stripping floors, planting flowers, etc, etc, etc! I have 9 weekends until December and would like to have a good chunk of this stuff done before it’s time to decorate for the holidays. I think it’s time to start making a list…and checking it at least twice!
