It was hot today…and I absolutely had to work in the backyard. I’m still trying to clear out the big flowerbed where I had the trees cut down a while back. Problem is that a large succulent plant had large spiderweb type roots that have spread everywhere. If I want new plants to grow there, I have to rip out these damnable roots. I’m getting it done, but it’s an unbelievable slow and difficult process.

I had to stop with the outside work for most of the afternoon ’cause it was just too hot. So I watched the Preakness, played a bit of Animal Crossing and talked with family on the phone. Then went back to the flowerbed around five and worked till the sun went down.

After a nice warm bath to ease my pains, I watched the season finale of Grey’s Anatomy that I had TiVo’d on Thursday. Whew! What a great show, and what a great ending.

Tomorrow I have so much to do and I really don’t know how I’m going to fit it all into one day. Getting my hair cut at 10 am, Lakers game at 12:30 pm, Home Depot after the game to pick up some plants and plant food, then Desperate Housewives season finale at 9 pm. Before, after and in between I need to fit in laundry, dishes and more yard work. Probably won’t get it all finished. At least I can look forward to a 3-day weekend coming up for Memorial Day.

Just finished talking with Kevin. He’s headed off to Japan on Monday morning to meet with some people he’ll be working with on a new project. Can’t wait to hear about his travels when he gets home next weekend.
