It’s the day before Easter, but we’re celebrating Easter tonight. Turns out the Lakers tickets that Patrick got are for tomorrow night’s game at 6:30 pm. Since he has to be at work at midnight, he needs to get some amount of sleep during the day. So, Easter dinner tomorrow is not a possibility. Later today I’ll be fixing ham and all the trimmings for dinner tonight with Patrick and Veronica. I’m looking forward to it…as well as to lots of ham sandwiches and leftovers throughout the week! (Also looking forward to the Lakers game!)

Thanks to Vanessa, I’ve figured out the identity of the woman who bought my old domain name. She’s totally the opposite of me. She’s an evangelical pro-lifer and a big fan of Sarah Palin! The site will be used for selling t-shirts for the pro-life cause. So, if you’ve got any kind of a link or bookmark to the old site, change it ’cause that site is definitely not me! I wonder how she’d feel if she knew she gave $5K of her money to someone who supports pro-choice and gay rights causes?

The problems with the animals haven’t changed much, except that Baby hasn’t had any more siezures and seems to be fine for the present. Am off work Monday and will be taking Murphy in to be reevaluated due to his rapid loss of sight. If this vet can’t come up with a diagnosis, then I’m finding a new vet.

Kevin reported in this week on Robin’s new skill–walking! Finally. He’s been physically able to do it for some time, but just not motivated. He crawled around like crazy and even began walking on his knees, but refused to stand and walk more than a few steps. However, this week he decided to perform by taking more than just a few steps while playing the ‘walking game’ and enjoyed the cheers he received from Mom, Dad and Uncle Raymond. The hurdle has been crossed.

The weather here has been very spring-like with off and on drizzle and temps running the gamut from 60’s to 80’s. You just never know what you’re going to get on a given day and can’t decide the night before what kind of clothes you’re going to be wearing the next day. I’m off work on Monday and would like to work in the yard if possible. Will just have to wait and see if the weather cooperates with that plan. I’ve decided to put up an arbor/trellis at the end of the yard where I took out the cypress trees. The neighbor’s fence is falling down and, after he ripped out all my iceplant while trying to fix the damn fence, it really looks hideous. So a barrier of some sort is needed. Just have to figure out the right materials and design now.

Don’t think I mentioned previously that I now have a new computer thanks to the website purchase! I got a laptop last Sunday and am quite pleased with it. It’s an HP with lots more memory, a wide screen, and a built-in webcam. Patrick still has to get everything transferred from my old computer, but so far I am liking it a lot. I’ll be getting rid of the old desktop completely, but hooking this up to my flatscreen monitor and a wireless keyboard and mouse. So it will still seem like I have a desktop system, but I can take it with me when traveling. I got a great deal since laptops are dirt cheap right now. Thanks, Patrick, for convincing me of what now seems was quite obvious–my old computer needed to be retired!

Well, time to get off and get busy. Still have some cleaning and food preparation to do before Patrick and Veronica arrive later this afternoon. And I’m sure there’s something I didn’t get at the grocery earlier in the week that I’ll need to go out for before dinner. So, hope everyone has a Happy Easter and is ready to say goodbye to winter and welcome to spring and summer. I know I’m ready for some continuous warm weather!
