Although there’s more to be rid of, the curb area in front of my house is just about filled with everything from the old kitchen cabinets that have been in the garage since we bought the house to the old Christmas street decoration from 3 years ago. Patrick single-handedly ripped out the old cabinets this afternoon and both Patrick and Veronica helped me haul all the rest to the curb. I can’t believe how much trash we had!

On top of all this, I’ve been going through more storage boxes from the garage and have completely filled the recycling and regular trash cans once again. Still have at least 50 more boxes and about 20 Rubbermaid bins to sort through. And then there’s all the ‘stuff’ that is sitting around on the workbench, tables and the floor–all of which needs to be sorted. I’ll start in again on all that tomorrow night. I’m just too tired to do any more tonight.

Oh, by the way, someone has already stopped out front to rifle through the trash. Some woman took a Christmas decoration–a lighted archway that was pretty the first year, but a pain to store and put up after that. Plus, half the lights didn’t work any longer. Glad someone else wanted it. Get the word out to anyone you know who might want an old gas grill, a loveseat sofa, or some steel garage shelving.

Now the next big cleanout–the garage sale on August 2nd. That will be easy compared to this.

Oops….too late, some guy in a truck just came by and took the shelving and the grill. Guess you just gotta get here sooner to get the good stuff.
