The weather is very strange right now. It feels like a wonderful summer day where I can open all the windows and doors in the evening. And the night-blooming jasmine is filling my house–and the entire neighborhood–with it’s wonderful scent. Can you tell how much I am loving spending every evening inhaling this fabulous aroma?

But this isn’t supposed to be happening right now. It’s October. The night-blooming jasmine has always bloomed in August and September in the past. So what’s up with this? There was a big rain storm while I was up in Seattle. Maybe that’s it. Maybe the bush was just really thirsty and needed a good soaking before blooming. Or maybe it has to do with the cooler evenings. Perhaps the temps of 90 degrees at midnight when it should have been blooming back in late August resulted in the bloom delay.

So far the fall tv schedule has resulted in one and sometimes two shows each night that I like. Actually that’s a good thing. I don’t want to get hooked into spending every evening in front of the tube. At least there doesn’t seem to be anything on between 8:00-9:00 pm that I care about so far. I can get a few things done each night before collapsing in front of the tv. Now if I can just stay awake for those few shows that I’ve decided to watch…
