Last time I saw the doctor (in March) he noticed that I had started to gain weight. Not surprising. Events over the past year resulted in me just not paying attention to what I was eating or how much. Many, many nights I would stop at a fast food place on the way home from work, picking up lots of burgers, fries and other things loaded with fat and calories. And the pounds started accumulating onto my body.

I bought a new digital scale in early April and began watching my food intake. I still occasionally stop at a fast food place, but pay a lot more attention to what I’m ordering. Mostly I eat salads and Healthy Choice/Lean Cuisine frozen dinners. And it’s working!

I went to the doctor today and he was very pleased with my weight loss. I’m hopeful I can begin exercising soon (walks in the evening with Murphy), but gotta wait until this dreadful heat lets up.
