The night-blooming jasmine in the backyard is filling the air with a wonderful scent! It begins around 7:30-8:00 pm and reaches all the way to the front yard, completely enveloping the house and yard in it’s overwhelming fragrance. I love this time of year!

Spent most of last weekend in the bathroom…no, not for that reason! Gave the room a thorough cleaning (boy did it need it!), moving furniture and getting all the floors, trim, walls, tile and furniture scrubbed down. Then I sealed all the grout around the tiles with the hope that it will stay white. Finally began caulking between the tub and tile. I know, I know, it’s about time! Thought it would be easy to do, but the space I have to fill is extremely deep and I rapidly used all the caulk. Need to get a couple more containers to finish it up this weekend. And then we’ll be able to once again use the shower! Patrick is very happy about that.

I want to get things caught up before starting on my bedroom. I have the paint purchased and ready to go, but can’t deal with my room being torn apart unless the rest of the house is in order. Ah well, it will happen.

Did I mention the Burning Man aftermath? The driveway is filled to overflowing–that’s right, the driveway in front of my house!–with playa dust covered shit! Some of it is Patrick’s, but lots belongs to the others who shared the truck space. I’m giving them until Friday/Saturday to pick it up. Then it goes out on the curb for everyone and anyone to help themselves! In addition, my living room is filled with Patrick’s stuff. Seems like Patrick will have lots to do this weekend. Hope he doesn’t have plans for every minute!

For now, it’s time to relax and enjoy the wonderful fragrances in the air!
