Another week of vacation time is on the horizon. I’ll be off next week, but not going anywhere. Staying at home to get some projects started–and a few finished up!

The bathroom still needs crown molding along with door trim, so I’d like to get that finished up–and then give the bathroom a good cleaning from top to bottom!

Then there’s my bedroom… Hope to get it painted (a cool faux finish) and start in on refinishing the hardwood flooring. Nice part about my bedroom is that it has an air conditioner! It’s been extremely hot, making it rough to do much around the house. Have to do a bit of drywall patching before I can start in on the painting, but should be able to get that done over the weekend so that I can get started on the painting on Monday morning.

Saturday is going to be pretty much shot since…I WILL BE AT THE ANTIQUES ROADSHOW MOST OF THE AFTERNOON!!! My tickets are for 3:30 pm at the LA Convention Center, so expect to leave around 2:00 pm so that we’ll have plenty of time to find parking. Have figured out 3 things to take–an 1800’s clock, an old Zenith radio (from the 30’s or 40’s) and 2 pewter springerle cookie presses brought from Germany by my grandmother. Still have to come up with one more item as they let each person bring 2 items and Patrick will be using my second ticket. Possibilities include the Edison cylinder player, 50 matchbox cars from the early 80’s made in England and still in the original packaging, another old clock, or some old books. Will probably not decide until Friday night. Expect a recap of the afternoon early next week. Hopefully I’ll be the proud owner of something worth thousands of dollars!
