So I sprayed down some of the bushes growing through my lattice fence with weedkiller! I’ve had it with the asshole behind me and his bushes! Last week his gardeners trimmed the tops of the bushes, dropping branches and trimmings on my side of the fence, on top of my bushes and plants. Now just last weekend I had my fruit trees trimmed and Rudy (my gardener) went over to my neighbor’s yard and raked and blew any and all leaves and branches that fell on their side. Why can’t these gardeners at least make an effort to keep the trimmings on his side of the fence?! I gathered a pile of them and stuffed them over the fence. Maybe someone will get a clue when they see the pile building up at the end of his fence…

Spent a good chunk of yesterday afternoon and evening hosing down the fence at the side of the house to remove the final remnants of Darwin. After the fruit trees were trimmed, you could finally see the fence and it was covered with big globs of Darwin’s hair! The branches up against the fence kept the rain from rinsing away anything that was stuck to the fence slats. It is sooo much cleaner out there now–it’s amazing!

Off to Target today to pick up a bunch of small storage containers–on sale, of course! Gonna try to do more garage sorting and organizing, but think these would work better than the current system of coffee cans and leftover shoe boxes….

Meanwhile am also trying to complete the accounting for a new client. Their records were a huge mess and what I’ve been able to figure out still isn’t exactly right. They have a board meeting this week and will get what I have so far–with lots of memo entries that say ‘NEED INFO.’ But at least they will have something, which is more than they’ve had in the past. At least my personal finances and most of my stuff at work is in good shape so that I can leave for vacation in a few weeks without too many worries. I think I’ve timed things really well so that I won’t have to be concerned about anything financial while I am away–except making sure I don’t overspend at all the flea markets and antique shops!

I really need to get going on more cleanup stuff but, once again, it is blazing hot (and humid) outside! There are fires burning to the north of us and I can see the residue in the sky to the northwest meaning nasty air quality. Guess I should just be grateful the fires aren’t any closer. At least we can’t see the flames.
